Yes, actually, I have. On the Animal Planet series Whale Wars, the Japanese whaling fleet uses an LRAD 1000 or similar to deter environmental activists trying to harass them.

I guess my main question here would be: Is the name SoundMaster trademarked by the old company? Also, this is definitely going to cause much confusion in the siren community, since we love the original SoundMasters so much...

I will of course agree that it sounds great, but I also must say that is one of the highest-mounted Model 2s I have ever seen.

Oh, it's capable of doing that all right, but we're not so irresponsible as to let it happen. I've never seen the central controls of the siren, but I'm sure they're quite secure. I'm sorry, but I think the first explanation in this thread is correct...
