Re: Model 2's in existence

Unless it’s been removed, @murrfarms’ House. Nope. The little guy is still out there, alive and well as of about 15 hours ago. ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2k9Q7We7dw It even survived the beating we took from Hurricane Irma back in September (2017) without so much as a scratch. Can't say the...

Allertor in Tipton, KS: https://goo.gl/gaF9t7 Literally about a foot off the ground. For being a siren of this size, it's extemely low!
Apparently mounting sirens disturbingly low to the ground is a trend with this town...

Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

Have absolutely no clue on this one, Alachua, FL. It appears it used to have a housing, looks very weird and different from a distance, Chopper looks similar to that of a Model 2, but a Model X would not have so much stuff on it. Am absolutely baffled. It also appears to possibly have a second chop...

Re: Rumored DSA in Green Bay WI

I found the dsa it is on tomlin street west side of Green Bay or you can find it on interstate 43 There's also another DSA further east from that one that's by a maintenance building for the rail yard, located on the south side of Prairie Avenue just east of Bylsby Avenue. Now that I see what they'...

Re: Electra TX siren test

Interesting. I'd have thought that the 1003 goes off with these... is it strictly a fire siren? Last I heard, the 1003 was recently having some timer issues and may be why it wasn't activated for this test. I'm fairly certain that they normally set it off in alert along with the newer system for bo...

Re: Help with Identification

Here is a copy of both the manual for the siren itself and its controls, as well as the original schematic for the entire control circuitry for the siren.

Re: 10 port 2001-130s?

It definitely wasn't an Equinox, it didn't have that nasally sound that they have. I am most likely guessing it was just underpowered, but the fact that it had a normal and fast windup along with a normal rotation (at least thats what it sounded like), plus it didn't change pitch while it was runni...

Re: Salina, Kansas replacing their Thunderbolts

I stumbled upon this video a week or so ago, which may help clear up some questions and confusion on Salina's plans for their upcoming new siren system.

Re: The "Various Sirens" series and others

Welp.. I guess Murrfarms wins the award. ;L So much for that. Nah, I'll forgo that "prize" in all fairness since I technically didn't locate the ones on my map within the time frame of this contest. After all, I still haven't located all of them yet so there's plenty more in the system wa...
