Re: New Member - Former MadahCom/Cooper Employee

Could you possibly post a video of these things in action doing something else besides censor beeps and voices? I've only heard them doing that and the wail tone (in videos). MCAS Futenma in Ginowan, Okinawa, Japan has at least one WAVES HPSA-8106R that does alert. It is mixed into a system of Whel...

Re: Alertus - 415/425 Hz Sirens In The US

I figured I'd bump this post again with more examples of the sirens doing different tones. Germany conducted a siren drill today, and the city of Dresden participated. This is one of the Telegrafia Pavian 2400 sirens in their system. The system also has a number of other models ranging from 300 watt...

New 2910 Test With Epic Echo - Fortson, GA 8/24/20

Hey everyone. I present to you all the newest siren in the county, officially bring our system back up to 47 sirens. For anyone wondering I decided against recording the siren directly due to there not being a good place to stand with the camera. I'm not too comfortable recording in front of people'...

Re: Rapid Temporary Siren Deployment

Should a situation arrise where there is a high chance of a war/attack, will it be worthwhile and practical for "sirenless" cities (NYC, LA, DC, etc) to deploy temporary mobile sirens as an extra measure to warn citizens of a possible attack? And should the threat be subsided they can jus...

E2S: Electronic Klaxon Sirens In The US, Last Of The 10/12s

As many of you know the US has had a number of overseas siren manufacturers enter into the market. There were many: Kockum Sonics, Hormann through Hormann America, ASC, and ASI, SiRcom through MadahCom and eventually their own USA branch, Telegrafia or Helin (not too sure who the equipment originate...

Re: ASC's New Electronic Siren, The Clarity Voice Array

ASC recently posted a video to their Facebook page of them testing an I-Force 3200 next to a Clarity 832. It looks like they decided to switch from the 4 horn per module to 8 horns. This was a good move IMO considering that the angle of sound dispersion that these JBL horns have is pretty low. It's ...

Re: New Member - Former MadahCom/Cooper Employee

Welcome to the board! I hit the nail on the head with my post of the MadahCom system in Hawaii. It looks like company made some similar decisions to what ASC did back in the 90's after being bought by Hormann America and using the ECN series heads from the German manufacturer with their own controls...

Re: Custom FS Electronic Siren Controllers

Sorry for the bump, but I have relevant information here. I was browsing LRAD videos on YouTube and found a 360X which sounded exactly like the Mod in Lightfoot. The 1kHz beep, the chimes. In the comments, someone told me that the ones in Lightfoot run on LRAD controls. Which brings me to the concl...

Re: "New" 435 Hz Whelen 2910 - Columbus, GA

This is the first 2910 to be filmed in the wild with this older style controller. Not true. Whelen shipped the lower pitched 2020 with some of the earliest 2900 units. Note this 2908 in Brentwood, MO, which was installed May of 2007 (first omni in St. Louis, County and one of the earliest 2900s off...

"New" 435 Hz Whelen 2910 - Columbus, GA

A while back I posted pictures here of one of our sirens that took a hit and ate dirt due to a construction accident. Siren went yeet and exploded into a hundred pieces on impact. Last year the replacement siren was installed, however it wasn't until recently that it was actually hooked up to power....
