Re: Fake video list

PS
While these vids don't necessarily fit the textbook definition of fake, there seem to be IMO enough issues of accuracy for them to qualify here.

Re: Fake video list

Heads Up; There's this chap named Carson Whiting who's put up two siren videos with laughable captions/descriptions: P-60(!) and 7/10-port P-30(!!!!!) :wtf: . The honestly funny thing, though, is that they *both* have the exact same unmisatakable single-toned sound of an STL-10. As there are...

I detect two different ports that obviously don't vary by much...1 or 2 at most.

This is IMO odd for a Sterling.

To be sure, all of those look like 40V2t's (15's and 20's look the same, whereas the 10's have the projectors with alternating length). There has to be at least one other 40 in that mix; and it's most likely the one I called an echo. I believe the siren recorded in this post is the one located by th...

I listened very carefully to it; and I concluded FWIW that what's heard is the delayed reverb from the siren itself, esp. the lower and louder tone. I perceive that these delays can last maybe up to a half second, depending on the usual battery of weather and locational circumstances. Of course, my ...

With many thanks to YouTube forumer Gramcracker115 who recorded this, plus another one of the same siren from closer range. From Quincy, Illinois. Attack @ 3 cycles starts at 10 seconds in sharp, followed by a approx. 25 second alert blast at about 1:12 in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWQuvvSMcmI...

@Archon: Thanks for the clarification.I vaguely recall reading on an ancient ASC webpage that Cyclones have the differing signals you mentioned there.

Thanks for posting that too. Indeed this kind of siren has an ominous sound...as in "Get the hell away from the impending disaster NOW" type of ominous sound. I just happened to get a clip of the Cyclone plus a different type...Matter of fact, the other one I ceited sounded like these: htt...

Refinery Fire featuring ACA/ASC Cyclone in attack!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_snU3qk9enY This was recently uploaded from Richmond, California. Others capturing the incident have been put on YouTube, but with the Cyclone dominant by far. I'm not sure about the second siren; but the harmonics here are *really* nice. I do believe there's a third ...
