Re: New Member - Former MadahCom/Cooper Employee

Found this on a photography website- one of our troops was up and playing with a camera at night in Iraq and took this and a few other very nice photos. Had to shrink it down. Original file was too big.

Re: Mystery Of Hawaii's Euro-Style Sirens Solved

A pic we used for some sales and marketing. Has a flex fuel generator - typically 5K or less if we could source them - usually would disassemble and paint desert sand - standard tanks were bright red. Electronic box had isolator shock mounts at bottom and rear to keep electronics from rattling apart...

Re: New Member - Former MadahCom/Cooper Employee

Here is one of three Cooper Demo rigs that would criss-cross the country - doing demos and marketing gigs. We put regular gasoline generators on these as well as an electric winch so the out of shape sales guys wouldn't be huffing and puffing during their quick setup demos.

Re: New Member - Former MadahCom/Cooper Employee

We sold about a dozen of these to the Canadian Air force that was heading to Afghanistan. They were able to purchase under a U.N. contract that was open. The Canadian guys wanted to name their trailers, which was common, but wanted to name them after Rush songs - several of the guys favorite Canadia...

These are really cool pictures! The sound clarity on these sirens is amazing.
Once we got away from the SirCom amplifiers and developed our own in-house board style amplifiers - the clarity really improved and we could go from the 6 horn configuration to the 8-horn version.

Re: New Member - Former MadahCom/Cooper Employee

In Iraq - they would mount a single tower on a portion of concrete barrier and then they would locate and move as necessary around the base. This was a common setup.

Preparing to load a C-5 Galaxy with 20 MSA's. These were heading to Camp Anaconda, also known as Balad Air Base.
This was in addition to dozens of permanently mounted speaker towers.

Re: New Member - Former MadahCom/Cooper Employee

At Al Asad Air Base, we were replacing these trailers. Hydraulics were failing and they were deemed unsafe. The Waves system with it's ties to the C-RAM program, made it the popular choice during the war. It would warn those in the eminent path of an attack to run and seek cover and those who were a...
