You are correct, that is an E.A Laboratories Sireane Jr. From my research, some came with 12 ports and some had 8.
Awesome! The wiki only says that they only come in 8 ports. Does that help with the year it was produced in?

What type of siren is this?

I finally had my dream of getting a siren come true! The only thing that I need help with is the brand and model of the siren. I’m thinking that it might be a E.A Laboratories Sireane Jr, but I don’t exactly know for sure because the tag is missing, or it didn’t even have one at all, as there aren't...

Re: New Big bertha picture found?

Has been known about. I thought it was new when I found it myself, but was quickly informed that it wasn't. It has? I've seen nothing about it on the forums or ever seen it show up when I google it. If it's known, why don't people talk about that it was in Lansing, MI when it wasn't even made there...

New Big bertha picture found?

I posted this not too long ago on other topics, but I didn't get many replies for them. As I was looking around on the CADL photo archive for civil defense photos, I found this picture of what I think is Big Bertha at the capital being tested and worked on. I do know that Lansing originally had a Ch...

Re: Chino 2T22

Is the siren actually in the museum as an exhibit, or is it mounted outside somewhere? There's a historic WW2 museum hangar that has a working coded Fedelcode Model 5 that's mounted atop a building and controlled by the museum. Wendover Army Airfield is the place. It's inside the museum. There's a ...

Re: Chino 2T22

Since it's in the museum, it shouldn't be active. If you're wondering if it could work however, it should if it was refurbished and kept inside. It still is possible it was only painted and doesn't actually work.

Re: Is it possible?

In theory, it could be possible to mount a simple siren upside down. You would need very strong bolts, and depending on the size of the siren you might need even longer bolts or extra reinforcement. Gravity would be pulling the siren down just the same as if it were mounted right side up, to it cou...

Re: Vintage siren photos thread

I found some old pictures on the CADL archive of what appears to be Big Bertha? I think I might have stumbled upon another picture of it.

Re: How do you get coverage circles in Google maps?

Pro tip... use the measuring tool to draw circles! Google Earth Pro's drawing tools do not include an easy way to draw accurate circles. But, the ruler/measuring tool does let you measure circular areas and save them as KML, so you can do the following to draw a circle: Open measuring tool (ruler i...
