Re: Test of siren in Argentina

I am guessing they have a very good tolerance to loud noise. Talk about getting personal when testing a large siren!

Re: Carters of Burnley, Secomak Limited Minimite sirens

Very nice! They look like early to mid 70s models. If you pop the siren part out from the bottom housing you should see a year stamped on them I'm guessing. One of my 6 volt units that looks like yours has the year 1975 stamped onto the side of the motor. Yes I still have all my Minimites. I do wish...

Re: Carters of Burnley, Secomak Limited Minimite sirens

I have 7 minimites, still less than you though :) They are all 12v. I'm trying to upload a pic but it won't let me Oh nice. I'd like to see them. Are all from the same decade or a mix of decades eg 70s, 80s, 90s? When you replied did you click on attachments & click add files? If you did once y...

Re: Vintage ACA Tapes

Oh I never knew that. I always thought the Cyclone used a the 12/8 port rotor design from an Allertor. If siren rotor designs were documented & in a library for reference I'd have known earlier because unlike British sirens where the rotors are exposed the ones in Cyclones & other enclosed s...

Re: Vintage ACA Tapes

As a fan of ACA sirens this is video gold for me & being so far away from the action when it comes to outdoor warning sirens this is most special to me. It is nice to see my favourite siren the Allertor up close & see how large it is next to the people who installed them & when one was p...

Two sirens Elektror L1 and E57 run together

Here is a Elektror L1 and E57 siren running together. The cool thing is on the coast down both sirens sound like a 9/8 port Federal Signal 77 siren from the 2nd interval they make together when spinning down when both at a certain rpm. This video is by the YouTuber The Sirengarage.
