The siren had some problems, unknown if it was the temperature, or if the siren needed service.

Anyway, enjoy.

Trip to Aberdeen South Dakota

Hello all, just got back in town after spending a week in Aberdeen SD. During my visit, I made sure I took plenty of pictures for you. Sadly the last remaining T-bolts in town have been replaced. That Darley probably has a 12 port Model 5 inside, but the small siren underneath is more interesting to me. It seems like a cross between that US Navy siren with the conical rotor in the famous Pearl Harbor photo and the small "paint can" sirens I find throughout Oregon, including my &qu...

Spent almost a full day hunting in the downtown district, and luckily didn't come home empty handed. Found this one on sixth and 28th. I have no idea what type of siren this is. http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x40/bloo96/DSCN0076.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x40/bloo96/DSCN0077.jpg http...

Alright, it's all back together and it runs like it should. I had to replace the star lock washer with a split ring, it seems to be working out alright. The only problem I am noticing is I get a little vibration when it winds down :? but it isn't really that bad. Now I am looking at rust removal.

If the bearing is going tight then your going to have to use the hammer and tap it on. put some kind of grease to help it go on easier, not oil. The grease will also help keep it from siezing. I have the bearing on, it's good to go. I'm just trying to put the the stator back on the housing, I think...
