Re: ACA Allertor 125 Questions

Set commander up to send out an extra DTMF string in addition to the existing activation protocol and I'll throw a radio in with the sirens, that way you don't have to deal with the DCFC. I actually heard back from Knox Township today and heard they paid $3600 a siren to C&K Early Warning Syste...

Re: ACA Allertor 125 Questions

Annother good option would be to see if Federal Field Services has any older 2001's that would be easier and more cost-effective than putting the Allertors back up.

Re: ACA Allertor 125 Questions

If anyone could answer the above question that has experience with sirens, that would be great. I have mailed a letter out to the Knox township trustee which removed the sirens, and if successful, we should be going down there to pick up all four Allertors later this month. I need an answer to this...

Re: How rare are single phase allertors

The single phase ACAs were notorious for bad capacitors as mentioned above. The old Allertor system in Manitowoc, WI is a good example of this (most of them are still standing but one that was replaced years ago was quite sluggish), and there is another one that is a bit sluggish too. Manitowoc's s...

Re: Madison, Wisconsin Getting 4 New Sirens

I’m probably one of the first people to know this, but the City of Madison, Wisconsin (where I practically live) is getting 4 new ASC Sirens, and according to the Dane County Emergency Management Agency, the four sirens will be located in these locations: 1. Near the new water tower at 10451 Old Sa...

What exactly is the difference between a 3v8-H and a 7v8? I have trouble telling them apart
The 3V8H is 5HP when the 7V8H is 7.5HP it is also slightly larger in size and sound output due to this, both sirens sound the same.

Re: Old Siren Locations???

Well, unfortunately, the siren graveyard in Wichita, KS is no longer there it was a temporary site for storing the sirens the EMA then moved the location of the sirens. I do not believe that there are any siren graveyards near Nebraska. The one main graveyard that everyone knows about is West Shore ...
