I have no specs, but out of experience on the road I would say tomar. Tomar Strobes are very effecient. They do not use a fresnel lense. Mine were 2" by 4" linear tube sealed beam strobe units with huge strobe lamps inside. The tube in the bulb must have been 1/4 inch in diameter! The lens...

Voltage is 12 volts! Carefull!! 2 hp I think. I know they pull a ton of current and are very strong. I left a pair of vice grips on the rotor while it was on the ground for repairs. Accidentaly applied power and the thing fliped over. They weigh a ton too. That's a strong motor. The motor on...

LEDS are going down but still expensive. When I was 16 i had a Chevy Corsica with flashing headlights made wit...

How many personell are at the fire department? They can't help. It's for the city is it not? Can't they donate some powerlines strung up overhead? You're going through all the other trouble won't they chip in?

Robert, like mentioned, the Q should slow quicker due to the resistance of the air being greater.

I think I heard a Whelen wanna-b Q today. What a joke! It was very low pitched and not at all affective!

Just woundering, Is that an older Q with the old style motor or the new Q that you had on your blazer. This new Q I have seems to use less current than the old style Q. My new Q is identified by a flat baclplate with the motor shaft extending out of it. The old one had the backplate with the brushes...
