Re: Where is this EOWS 816 from?

I remember seeing that picture before and that siren was described as once being part of the alert system in Tonopah, Arizona for Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station; about 50 miles west of Phoenix. The system was converted to ATIs a while back. https://www.google.com/maps/@33.4829256,-112.8668587...

Re: Bad fire at fire station; Thunderbolt not involved!

My co-worker lives a few blocks north of the involved station near Western and Orangethorpe and we've passed by it a couple times in the last few months while carpooling. The Thunderbolt is on the far left corner of the property so it escaped this blaze. Fire or not though, there were plans to repla...

Rainbow, San Diego County, California SD-10

Along the Interstate 15 just south of Temecula at the border of Riverside and San Diego County is the small community of Rainbow (not to be confused with another Rainbow in Placer County, CA). I've passed by Rainbow many times traveling on the I-15 when I used to work in San Diego two years ago but ...

Re: Another video featuring Kuwait's old Thunderbolt 7000's.

There's this 2009 public service announcement from the Kuwait Civil Defense which featured both the T-Bolt (appears to be on a TV/Radio transmitter building) as well as some HÖRMANN electronic sirens. It features the Pulsed-Alert signal.

Re: The Mystery Is Revealed: Scream-Master Sirens.

I guess this identifies the one I saw in Montebello at the corner of E. Washington Blvd and S. Greenwood Ave. Thought it was a model 5 at the time and another member mentioned it could be a HOR. https://goo.gl/maps/icBwfsJWq9s There is another one located at W Beverly Blvd & Findlay Ave also in ...

Re: West Covina Thunderolt Beheaded

Do they have any other sirens besides these Thunderbolts?
North of the 10 freeway, there a SD-10 at a fire station but I can't remember exactly where. It's supposed to be near Sunset and Badillo

Interesting. I never knew that there were Thunderbolts in California.

There are two other locations in West Covina I know of (one south of the 10 on Citrus St and another behind the park maintenance/public works on Sunset and Cameron.
