Re: “Rare vertical HOR” in bingen?

The Bingen siren is a Model 2 that was recently restored. Up the hill in White Salmon are two 12-port Model 5’s.

Re: The Mystery Is Revealed: Scream-Master Sirens.

The long gone Hedberg sirens (my avatar) were at Fire Stations 3, Old Station 4 (now Station 30), station 5, Station 7, & Station 8.
I saw a Hedberg back in the 1980’s on a pole in Palo Alto that looked like the one in your avatar. It might still be there.

Re: Third St. Bridge siren in San Francisco

Many of the Bullard sirens used in San Francisco before the STL’s replaced them were six-port, dual-headed horizontal sirens.

HOR siren in Mexico

Here is a Super Sirex that was put back into use in a Mexican city (Puerto Peñasco, I believe) for quarantine alerting.

Third St. Bridge siren in San Francisco

This bridge was constructed in the 1930’s and while the lift siren sounds like an STL-10, could it possibly be a six-port Bullard?

Sentry 3V8H noon test

Here is a test I snagged today in Haines, Oregon. This is one of the few sirens in eastern Oregon that still sounds daily at noon. Haines is in Baker County, not to be confused with Hines, a town adjacent to Burns in Harney County, which has connected 2Hp. and 5Hp. Darleys on the same roof. vPZCpg6i...

Re: Siren photos from the Oregon and northern California coast (large photos!)

By the way, I’ve never seen any sirens in Medford. As of a few months ago, there is a new Model 2 on Ashland’s main fire station (the old Fedelcode Model 5 was on the ground at the city shops), and four Modulators, one over the plaza and the others north of town. Talent has a Model 5 at the old fire...

Re: LRAD may be installed in San Jose

I believe that Scream Masters were single-toned with sixteen ports, so they would sound like a high-pitched Sterling.

There may be a couple still active in Washington taken from Seattle’s old system.
