Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

The Back Creek Valley Fire Department in West Virgina somewhere has this odd contraption, it almost looks like a HOR Siro-drone under there that they have added horns to the intake side of but who knows.... http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d102/Rheems1/Sirens/DSC_0118_zpsrlpoyeb8.jpg http://i34.pho...

Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

Not all Model 1s had conical housings... Interesting you should post that ad, it took away one of my mystery sirens that I photographed a few years ago. The Brockton Fire Department up in rural Schuylkill County has the smallest of those sirens mounted in the belltower of thier old firehouse. It is...

Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

Here is another Pa Siren, this one is at the Newton-Wayne Fire Department in Mifflin County on the border of Huntingdon County... I am guessing it may be a GCS Siren but it appears to have 1 too many louvers and the rotor is on the bottom http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d102/Rheems1/Sirens/PICT001...

Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

Here is a siren at the Goodyear Hose Company in Galeton, Pa, I have never been able to figure out what it was... took pictures of it 4 or 5 times in hopes that from a different angle it would come to me but I got nothing.... http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d102/Rheems1/Sirens/DSC_0120_zpslrhe1pkt....

Re: Post the most epic sirens picture(s) you have!

Here are a few of my pictures that I would consider epic, first off this Thunderbolt 1003 in the middle of absolute nowhere in the back mountains of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Siren is fully self contained, as there is a building at the base of it with a generator for the siren. I have no idea what it's purp...

Re: Denver Siren Found in Highland, NY

There is one in Burlington, NJ as well behind the Niagra Fire Department, it still works but is not used from what they told me. It is controlled by a light switch in the apparatus bay, I remember taking copious amounts of photos of this thing but can't for the life of me remember where they may be....

Re: The "Various Sirens" series and others

Back in the day, the station used to be right next to the siren.. that was before they moved across Sporting Hill Road to the new station. If you look at the picture you can see where they closed the bay doors in to make very large windows in the front of the recreation building, back in the day the...

Re: The "Various Sirens" series and others

Near Mechanicsburg in Pennsylvania, there's what appears to be a yellow ACA P-10 or P-15 right here https://goo.gl/1adSAH but I'm not sure what it's (or what it used to be) used for. My best guess is that it's an old CD siren that's inactive now (I get that from the fact that it's pointing the same...

Re: Rumored DSA in Green Bay WI

I just invested about an hour running Route 29 in both directions from Green Bay on Streetview, I can't find anything that even looks the same

Re: Altec Lansing- Dade County, Florida

I would recognize that type of tower anywhere, that is a fire department training tower... if you find the Dade County Fire Academy I am sure you will see that tower or one just like it
