Re: The ACA Alertornic RE-1600 siren in Bolingbrook Illinois Has Gotten Replaced

Not sure of the order they were replaced. Or if all of them are replaced now. I thought Aurora had a few p15s too, but I'm not sure.

Re: The ACA Alertornic RE-1600 siren in Bolingbrook Illinois Has Gotten Replaced

I know all! Don't question my authority! Just kidding, in all seriousness I looked up past meeting minutes. In one they talked about p50 replacement. It's funny, they actually called them p50 sirens at the meeting. It doesn't look like they are in a big hurry to do it. The first one or at least one ...

Yes, Aurora is in the process of replacing their sirens. All P-50's are getting replaced with T-135 AC/DC sirens.

Re: The ACA Alertornic RE-1600 siren in Bolingbrook Illinois Has Gotten Replaced

There were originally 4. The I-55 and Frontage road siren in front of La Quinta Inn. This one was knocked down in a storm sometime in 2008. Check Google Maps. September 2007 it is there, September 2008 only half the pole is left. They put in a new 2001-130 about a half mile south of this location to...

Yes superbanshee. The one near 55 was also a 4 throat. I believe that's all of them. There may have been 4 total, but probably just the 3. The rest were eows 612s.

Re: The ACA Alertornic RE-16000 siren in Bolingbrook Illinois Has Gotten Replaced

Yeah the EOWS sirens went first. I believe sometime around 2008. Then the one alertronic that got knocked off the pole was gone, now the rest. This one I believe was on Weber Rd around 115th street. They put the new siren on the same pole.

Re: Original P-50's in Kenosha County

The one along the highway near the Illinois border is original. I remember seeing it in the mid 90's, before Zion closed. There was also one behind the outlet malls on the west side of the highway near carmax, but that one isn't there anymore. There is/was one near the WEPCO coal power plant in Keno...

Re: SD-10 three phase hookup

I agree with Eric on this. I believe I also told you last time that this was not something an amateur should be doing. You stated you had no knowledge of electricity. You should NOT be doing this stuff. What you are trying to do is going to draw a HUGE amount of current for one thing. Kilowatts are ...
