I live in Maple grove, MN (a suburb of Minneapolis). I would love to come. Although I don't if my parents would let me go there. But hopefully my parents will let me take a day trip down there.

Northern Virginia is far from tornado alley. So I'm guessing government officials don't see a need for tornado sirens.

I wonder why they had it up for 11 years. Maybe it was up because they thought the thunderbolt might fail to sound some day.

Most thunderbolts have been taken Down I believe. I drove thru there on Sunday, didn't see any up.
