Just got back from the upper peninsula, saw the model 5 in Bruce crossing and there was a sentry of some sort in ewen (looked to be a 7v8 or 3v8-H, it has horns, I know that much) so yeah that's what I saw, model 5 was definetly a fire siren.

You are correct. The Equinox is a lower pitched 2001-130, the eclipse on the other hand is an omnidirectional siren made by federal signal.

Is the pole going up into the intake tube? It kind of looks like it is. I have seen a few sirens mounted to their poles using the intake. It's an excellent way to muffle them! Yeah it does look that way, I didn't look close enough because I was having a mini-war in my head: "it can't be an SD-...
