I have. When I was in elementary school the county would test thier sirens every first Wednesdayof the month(still do), a Thunderbolt is in the back of my old school right beside the GYM. I had P.E every day at 9:45, the sirens sounded at 10:00. So I got my ears blasted off every first Wednesday of...

vehicular warning siren

I've been the person transported in an ambulance many times. Usually they shut off the siren for a little while knowing I'm super sensitive to loud sounds. It's nice of them to do that.

That depends on the V12. I've heard V12s which sounded like V8s.
I'm talking like the engines they use in formula 1 race cars, those things sound like air raid sirens on wheels.

I'd have to say the Federal Signal 2001 series, those things are insanely high pitched.

Car sized HP in a siren

I know it's already been done once with an older car engine (Chrysler Victory series: 180hp) but hypotheticly speaking do you think you could get a better hp rating if they put an even bigger hp engine inside a siren? I'm talking maybe a V8, V10, or even a V12?
