It wasn't the brush holders. But it was the rings that connect to the brush holders and supply electricity to them. They were loose and weren't on completely.

Last week I was looking at a Hawaiian Electric book from around the early 90's and I spotted this yellow SD-10 in the background. This siren was replaced back in 2008 by a Modulator 3012.

I am currently working on my Model 2 project. So far I have a motor starter and I am soon going to get a AR Timer, a 3000 watt step up transformer and a Thunderbolt 1000 chopper motor.
