Re: Vintage ACA Tapes

I'm pretty sure that strange 8/12 rotor was matched to the 40 or 50hp motor.

Re: Vintage ACA Tapes

Perhaps. Could've been some kind of sand mold, too. I wonder as to whom supplied these companies with the rough, non-machined castings back in the day.

Re: Vintage ACA Tapes

Good grief, a Cyclone doing pulse! I really like the Hurricane in attack mode, too.. that's some mighty fine footage right there. I do wish they would've showcased one of their special-order port ratios; that would've been something. How they casted the double levels into those rotors is still a thi...

Re: Prototype Electronic Siren Controllers Coming Soon - INPUT NEEDED!

How about a module that controls the solenoids on a siren so equipped? It'd be neat if you can design a controller that not only would allow you to set the duration of each note, but would also let you configure the length and interval spacing of the hi-lo cycle in respect to the siren's attack wave...

LOL Nobody's bashing anything. One stray post like that isn't a bash fest. I don't think any corporate figure at ASC, Whelen, or wherever is going to care about what an enthusiast personally thinks of or writes about their product. We did have a few members called out by a company head for apparentl...

Re: The NASA monster siren

This is increatable. Do they still use this horn/siren? If they do is it much louder than a Chrysler Victory Siren? Or not. The horn is used to gage the structural integrity of rocket equipment, so it surpasses the Chrysler in every objective measure without a doubt, though I'd love to know as to w...

Re: ASC will unveil a new brand identity and logo in the second quarter of 2016.

Awful! That logo looks straight ripped from some unknown foreign, generic brand selling door-buzzers. I wonder, this is the kind of crap one would expect Hormann to have pulled on American Signal as part of a corporate restructuring in the nineties. It's not that the new scribble is going to change ...

Gorgeous! So Sentry's mount brackets are basically a one-size-fits-all kind of thing that you shim to fit?
