Re: Purchasing sirens from companies?

There are sirens on eBay for sale all the time. I do understand this, but usually they aren't sold with a controller. I have only found 2 sirens for sale on ebay with all equipment. both are about $5,000 each. Plus I'm mainly looking for sirens with battery backup. Mainly electric sirens. Something...

Re: The official and updated Missouri Statewide map

There's an ATI HPSS siren at Jefferson Barracks, right down the road from a 2910.

Re: CLM 10 Port Fire Department Siren?

A Model 5/7 rotor is about 18 inches in diameter and is 113dB @ 100 feet for the single tone version, so I'd put yours somewhere right around that. Sentry Siren sells one that might get you close to that original dB mark (only 109) but it uses a 4HP motor (Model 3V8-H). It's also a $3800 siren, plus...

Re: A very rare gem I found on YouTube...

That is indeed my old one! I sold it to Calvin back in 2018 after I realized I didn't have the time to devote to it that it so desperately deserved. It is definitely in great hands. Here's a photo of it that afternoon before that video was taken. https://i.imgur.com/0VPIQmc.jpg Nice IROC Z! 8-) Tha...

Re: Mystery Omni-Directional Siren my Uncle collected

That is indeed a Fedelcode Model 20. Next time you're there, try to take the shroud off of the siren and get a better shot of the internals if possible!

Re: ACA Hurricane 130 siren

They do not. I called every Klaxon distributer/dealer/salesperson 10 years ago and none of them had any idea what I was talking about. I do think this one is long gone, sadly.

Re: ACA Hurricane 130 siren

ACA built several Hurricanes with slide valves in the copper stator to make HI / LOW and dual tone pulse signals. Most went to chemical and oil refineries to indicate what zone had a emergency. The valves were moved using electric solenoids made by Trombetta Corp. in Menomonee Falls, WI. ACA only ma...
