I'd remove part #14 and see if it is louder.

It seems that much sound is projected downward (and upwards but I can't hear it from below) and therefore it is not heard as far away as I expected.

There was a really rotten theft trend going on here in Cincy about 8 months ago before the scrap metal prices dropped. For about a four month period there were quite a few jackasses here in town going around and stealing manhole covers and storm sewer grates. About ten people reported seriou...

If railroad track rail is ever worth anything, I could foresee sections of track rail missing. That happened here in Michigan about a year ago. A CSX train crew went to set out eight boxcars on a siding, only to find the 3,500 feet of track, tie plates, and spikes gone. Apparently, there was two si...

I've removed several sirens (various models) all in the quickest and safest manner. I do not wast time/money with my crew and equipment treating the siren like a precious child. I have equipment to lift and transport the siren so I have no need to make the siren transportable manually. Yes. I'd do ...

Using a sheet of newspaper between, I stacked each 5 lb cone on top the other so not oneven scratched. T...

Re: Camera Flash Triggers 2001 AC!

... just as I pressed the picture button & the flash went off, I heard a click & the 2001 AC roared to life.....in Fast Wail... Fascinating! Apparently the high Voltage flash circuitry causes an rf pulse which induces a spuriousignal and activates the siren. Thry taking a flash near a radio...

Was the Defender replaced with a 2001 because the 2001 has battery back-up?" The Sentry Siren Inc, Defender Model came in 3 styles, AC, AC/DC & DC The AC Defender was run stricly off of AC power with no back up if AC failed. The AC/DC Defender, was that the unit ran off of AC power & h...

At such a high speed, the round ports would not make the timbre sound funky or anything. Also, in terms of the power, the output is sometimes rounded to a simpler number... when a motor says one horsepower, it is not necessarily exact. Yah. My Kawasaki 650 was only 648. Also the actual wattage is d...

...(For you noobs, Sentry asked me to host a contest to name their new siren on my old warningsirens.org board a few years ago. They chose the name "Defender" out of all the entries, and the winner won a brand new E-4) That was Jeff Miller. I last talked with him very briefly a few months...
