I recently went to this siren for the noon test. Sadly, i was too far to hear anything as i know its damper is stuck. Is it still active? Whelen WPS-2805 from 5.9 miles away, weird because its only about 93dB at 120FT.... Videos on my youtube, with the distance recording.

It's basically a Bluetooth speaker with a cup taped to the front of it, with the ability to rotate thanks to a K'nex motor. Mounted on a pole from one of my Halloween decorations. There isn't a real budget yet because we all don't know anything about the topic. It should be as inexpensive as possible while doing it's job and being reliable. My time is free if I am going to build something, so it would just be materials in this case. I hope this project turns out well for you...
