Thank you 3T22! I am going to start making my map straight way, starting with Huntington (Shelton) and ending with East Haven. Looks like it's going to be an overniter!

To CTSirenhunter and 3t22 - I am going to be visiting the Shelton/Derby/Ansonia/Seymour area later this month. I am primarily hunting for Diaphone, but any interesting sirens would be good to see as well. Does Ansonia still have any horns? I couldn't tell from Google Street View. Huntington (Shelton...

Is there anything left in Spencer? It was a few years ago it got hit by an EF4 tornado. I thought they had an XT22 type siren, so that Whelen must be its replacement. Very nice pictures!

That indeed is an STL-10, along with a baby Darley beneath it. It is owned by the North Amityville (Long Island, NY) fire department and its eerie moan can be clearly heard for a distance of over four miles in every direction. The square horns are indeed replacements.

Elizabeth, NJ Thunderbolts

I ran this one up the flagpole a few years ago, but nobody seemed to know what was up back then, so I will try again. Elizabeth, NJ was a veritable forest of Thunderbolt 1000's. I am not sure if any are active, but some still stand. There is one near Exit 13 of the NJ Turnpike (Cole Place and Trento...

slant-40, Your friend looks very nice, as well as the EOWS. It's a neat and very interesting combo. Would this happen to be mounted near or on top of a fire department? ... Actually it is mounted on the southwest corner of the Village of Emmaus PA (Lehigh County) offices - formerly a fire station/p...

Ah, an EOWS it is indeed! Thank you for your quick response. I have never seen a siren like this one before.
