Emmaus PA - What is this siren?

I thought I'd seen all the sirens I'd ever expect to see, but this one has me stumped. Can anyone identify this one? Looks like a cross between an EOWS and an XT22. Note the lift ring at the top, and the sizable center piece. I took a trip out there today to pay a visit to my friend you see undernea...

Here on Long Island there are at least two examples of "Two Heads are better than one": Franklin Square has a 2 alongside a 2T at HQ, and Hempstead Village has one station where a 5 sits on the same pole as a 2.

Nice! Glad to see Fenton's STL-10 is back in place (after the tornado a few years ago).

BTW did you actually get to "Go To Hell"? Wonder what's there. :)

1960s siren w/8 square horns

Many years ago (1960s) I remember seeing sirens in Red Bank NJ that consisted of eight square speaker horns - two pointing in each direction. These had a "whoop whoop" sound, and when accompanied by the Gamewell diaphones sounded quite scary. I have seen these (again, years ago) in Hyde Pa...

Very nice siren! Did it come with a housing? Model 2's hold a special place in my memories - I grew up in a town that had about a dozen of them scattered about; the next town over had half a dozen. Some of them were 2T's. They made quite a sound all going off at once.

Didn't Windsor, CO get HIT by a tornado on May 22, 2008? Such a stance from an official makes no sense at all.

Where's the nearest nuclear plant? That would be Shoreham, decommissioned years ago - actually it never went online. A network of ACA sirens was installed all over the north shore in anticipation of Shoreham opening, but it never did. Some of the sirens were taken down, others were abandoned, other...

For someone who grew up surrounded by diaphones (Elmont, NY), and was initially scared to death of them - I have grown up to not only find great fascination with them, but to own one of my very own. Say hello to GOOSE, who is the sweetest-sounding low-tone in the whole wide world! http://s66.photobu...

I did a birds-eye view with Live Search on both locations - the one on the fire house is clearly visible, but the one at the other location - I don't see it. The building is 2 stories, and has a red-tiled hip roof. From the zoom in distance (25 yds), a T-Bolt would be clearly visible. Hope this help...
