Re: Electra Tx first Monday siren test.

I never quite understood the layout of the old system. I know there was a SD-10 where one of the 130s now are, but was there nothing on the north end of town? Seems like over coverage on the south side and no coverage on the north. The system now seems pretty good, and I like how you can see the Ecl...

As many times as I’ve been through Lebanon I've never seen that!

Re: 1992-1993 "ACA Identity Crisis"

Graham, TX had a couple. They still have one left in the new system but I a, unsure if that one was branded ACA or ASC. It is dull grey, though.

Re: Spearman, TX Siren

It could be, but I also seem to hear more of the 2T22. They have the 1003, 2T22 and x2 STH-10. A lot of these small towns just push buttons until the sirens start up. That system is pretty old, and likely doesn't function as well as it used to. Towns in West Texas are either really good at testing r...

R4's are no joke. They have no issue getting the job done, and are quite competitive with the loudest ACA and Federal sirens.

I wouldn't be so sure myself, given both skirts are too short, even for the advertisement in my eyes. Who knows.
And before the 50's most of those pictures in advertisements we literally hand drawn by artists. They were photorealistic, but but they weren't actual photos.

Re: My FS STH-10B First Test

Sounds good. I think you might be far from the first enthusiast to have/run an STH-10. Trey, who is on this board, also had an STH-10 for several years. I don't know if we still have videos of it running, but we ran it a few times on both 110 and 220V. (It was a single-phase -B model.)

Sounds great! Not much dissonance like other 2 motor versions I’ve heard. Obviously it’s not as bad on the 2T units but it’s usually still quite prevalent.
