Re: Lowest mounted Siren in US

Someone just posted this photo on a group for historic Memphis photos. This is one of Memphis' many Mobil Directos, most of which were removed (only one currently remains). This photo was taken in 1965 and the station was closed in 1974. The building is still there and has been repurposed , but of c...

Siren Blasts for July 4th

While at Charlie's house, Jeb, Charlie, Matt, and I set off a single tone ACA Allertor and a dual tone ACA P-10 at 7pm for the 4th of July. I got two recordings of each, one up close and one distance. Allertor Close-Up: s1jhBPTArC0 Allertor Distance: WxhNgbnGvMc P-10 Close-Up: JmIT0FW6xO0 P-10 Dista...

Federal Signal 2001-130 - Brentwood/Franklin, TN

After the 508 in Nashville, Jeb, Charlie, Matt, Luke, and I all headed up to Brentwood/Franklin to record the 2001-130 there. The siren is right on the city limits of both towns and they share the cost of maintenance on the siren. We were at the Walgreens across the street. https://www.google.com/ma...

Federal Signal 508 - Nashville, TN

Jeb, Charlie, Matt, Luke, and I all headed up to Nashville to record the Federal Signal 508 at Bellevue Middle School in Nashville. There used to be an ATI at this location as seen on Google Maps. https://www.google.com/maps/embed?pb=!1m16!1m12!1m3!1d486.01095296664846!2d-86.93372332678655!3d36.0692...

Based on the "1998" in your signature, you're only 15 or 16.

You really expect us to believe this?

Re: Is this a vent or a siren?

If you were so confident it was a siren, and then argue when multiple people tell you otherwise, why even bother asking?

FYI: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

Re: High mounted sirens in the US

Off topic but that building in the background looks like a smaller version of our Clark Tower in Memphis:

Re: Model 500SH-TT in Searcy County, Arkansas?

Don't get this confused with the city of Searcy, AR. The city has Whelen Vortex's as recorded by Bryan a while back. Could not find any videos or sirens from Searcy County after a brief search.

Re: Which countys have ACA Allertors?

I'm pretty sure Jonesboro, AR has (had?) at least one.

Confirmed via Siren Archive:
