Re: Ontario Canada Sirens Update

Conestogo: they disconnected it around 2007. They took it down to restore it. Woolwich Twp told me back in 2011 IIRC they were one day going to use it for tornado warnings. Baden: hasnt been active for many years. It's got rust holes now. Plattsville: do not know what siren it was, or if it was a si...

Model 2 losing pitch/slower

https://youtu.be/MtUsjz5rKdE This video isn't mine, but the Canadian Model 2 in Sebringville started slowing down and losing pitch a couple weeks ago. The station checked the power supply, and found no problems. They're going to take to take the siren off the tower for inspection. Any idea what migh...

One of the best sounding Model 2's in Ontario. Audio is much better this time.

Re: Weekly Thunderbolt 1003 Test, Sarnia ON

Do you know if all three activated? And yes, those Tbolts do pack a punch. You can hear them in Corunna from 2-3 miles away.

Milverton, Ontario Model 2

https://youtu.be/LT1bhcEIHwE It's another Canadian Model 2 with a very deep tone. I've recorded this type of siren in Corunna, St. Mary's, St. Jacobs, and now Milverton. I had to record on my tablet instead of camera so I'd like to make a better recording of this siren at some point. I was about 100...

Woolwich Twp, Ontario annual 3 minute siren tests

Once a year Woolwich Township tests the sirens for three minutes. The rest of the year they run 15 second tests. I can't make it out to record this year, so hoping someone else can! Wednesday May 11 @ 930am in Elmira. Two STH-10s and a Model 5. This is the only time they test the Model 5. Thursday M...

Breslau 2001

Went back to Breslau and recorded the 2001 on my phone. I have a question now regarding siren locations: This 2001 was installed in the centre of the community, but in a deep river valley that is 62 feet below the rest of the town. Basically the siren is projecting into the hills surrounding it. Is ...
