Re: Old Siren Mount?

Re: Steelville, IL Mystery speakers

Definitely a vehicular siren, those speakers on the pole look like Federal TS100s. Another member of the board contacted them a while back, apparently it is a tornado siren.

Re: Can you siren experts help me identify my siren?

That's an old Federal Enterprises Model A. Don't see many with the badge on the outer horn. The siren should work with 120V, it's best to check the bearings before running.

Re: Milwaukee siren system being redone.

I do not have a date for when the project is due to start, but yes. Milwaukee County is replacing their system, many of the sirens are already spoken for. The Hurricane is going to be a separate project and will not be going away anytime soon. Like stated in the above post, do not harass those invo...

I hope the rotor isn't cracked!
It's hard to see underneath all that dirt, but it sure looks like it. Only visible in one photo, were they both taken at the same date?

Re: HOR SIREX 7:10 Omni TEST RUN

I'm not qualified to give specific advice, however I've heard Ronk makes some pretty good equipment. I suggest doing some more research and talking to a professional, to learn specifics.

Re: HOR SIREX 7:10 Omni TEST RUN

That motor needs a much bigger drive. People have fried their sirens using that exact model VFD.
