Amarillo Updated OEM Page - With Sounds

Was looking through the OEM page and found they updated it. And then clicked on this: http://oem.amarillo.gov/?page_id=1110 Found it a little amusing. Can you name the sounds? Also says Cyclone P-50 on one with a photo of a Cyclone. Wonder where they got the sounds from? Could have just posted the v...

Slow reving Cyclone

Recorded this back in May and kinda forgot about it. Out of all they Cyclone's we have recorded, this one is somewhat slower to get up to speed. Don't know if it's low voltage or just the way it is. Since we are far from being electrical wizards, what would cause this? Is it hard or damaging to the ...

Re: FS 2001 Gear Question

Most of you know that the wind here (Amarillo) is almost always present. It's not uncommon to see all of the sirens pointing the same direction when the wind is hitting 50 MPH. Re: Lubbock Again Considers Sirens

I am still astonished that Lubbock hasn't had a working system in years! Just last week we had to go to the cellar late night due to an approaching storm with a confirmed tornado. They sounded the sirens 3 times in 15 minutes. Lubbock is just 100 miles south of here. I consider us very lucky to have...

Re: Oklahoma Siren Meetup 2013

Thanks so much for uploading these photos! That camera is amazing! We had a great time and weather, at least for that day, was great. Not to hot. Looking forward, hopefully, to next years event. Was great meeting everyone new and the returning ones from last year. Sorry we had to leave early but it ...

This one was pretty cool! The tornado trying to form added to it. Wish the loud mouth lady wouldn't have shown up.

I have been getting some questions so I'll try to answer the ones that keep getting ask: Can it be seen from the highway? Yes. It is located on the west side of the city. If traveling down I-40 look to the south when you are just east of the Coulter St. overpass. You will see a park and this can be ...
