St. Peters, Mo. has replaced their last 2T22 with a 2001

The 2T22 must have been replaced just yesterday, since I had driven by the high school this past Saturday where it had been located, and it was still there. I'm not surprised to see the 2001 in its place, as I knew its days were numbered, and since the City of St. Peters began phasing out their T-Bo...

Model Tech Studios HO scale air raid sirens

I just stumbled upon a company called Model Tech Studios that produces HO (1-87) scale outdoor warning sirens. One is a gray Carters WWII vintage air raid siren, and the other resembles a Sentry 20v2T and is painted red. Both come pre-painted, with the poles, though I see no control boxes to mount o...

Re: Jefferson County, AL siren graveyard update

I don't understand why none of the sirens are for sale or just be given away, but they'll gladly be dumped there, to rot away, etc. Doesn't make sense.

Re: Whelen 2000-R

And, as you can tell, that Whelen 2000-R has a broken rotator. Some of the 3016s had the same problem, thus the reason St. Louis County chose to replace their siren system with omni-directional Whelen 2900-series sirens (not all are 2910s).

Re: St. Charles County, Missouri Sirens

Also, there is an ASC T-121 on Boschertown Road behind St. Charles Fire Department Fire Station #4, near New Town. And, a new Federal 2001 is located at 370 Lakeside Park in St. Peters off of Hwy. 370 and Harry S. Truman Blvd. The siren is located way back in the park along the western edge of the l...

Re: St. Charles County, Missouri Sirens

Your map is nice in that it lists the type of siren in each location. But, the SCCEMA map shows some siren location changes, though somewhat subtle since a few were moved a short distance away from their original location when replaced with a new siren.

Re: St. Charles County, Missouri Sirens

Google 'St. Charles County, Mo. outdoor warning siren map' and a link will come up. On a side note, concerning St. Charles County sirens, the City of O'Fallon no longer has any Whelen 3016's or 4003's. The last ones have all been replaced by Whelen 2908's. The City of Wentzville is in the process of...

Re: R.I.P RSH-10 thunderbeam

Cities in St. Charles County that have their own siren system (St. Charles, St. Peters, O'Fallon, Wentzville, Lake St. Louis) CAN activate those sirens on their own, via their police dispatchers, from what I understand. Yes, St. Charles County E.M.A. has overall control of the sirens in the county, ...

Re: R.I.P RSH-10 thunderbeam

I took a ride today to see the new 2001 and saw that it was located on the parking lot of the former National Weather Service building. Has the Thunderbeam at Stone Mill Drive and Mill Side Drive near Laurel Park been replaced as well? I just saw that one this past Fall when out siren "hunting....

Re: R.I.P RSH-10 thunderbeam

Are you referring to the Thunderbeam on Mexico Road in the Cave Springs area? Didn't know it had been replaced. I took a ride a few months ago and discovered that the T-Bolt on Kimberly Drive by the water tower had been replaced by a 2001. Sucks that there are no more T-Bolts in St. Charles County, ...
