This is silly. You guys are arguing based purely on assumptions and prejudice. Perhaps someone should ask them, or find out if the power of US patents even extends outside the country.

Why don't I? Because I don't really give a damn.

I certainly wouldn't hate the company that has restored (or are they actually building a replica now?) the original Victory Siren, which I had thought was no longer in existence.

You certainly could play music, but you'd need to cut the low frequencies to prevent damaging the drivers.

Oh yes, everything in that article defititely points to a 2T22. No doubt about it. Big Brother-like, the system practiced blaring out messages such as "Go to your home, close your windows and doors, tune into your emergency radio channel." Please don't post just for the sake of posting. An...

What does that mean?

Redmond has one siren that I am aware of, a darley model 2 mounted on the side of a power pole. It's in a residential area, not near a fire station or ...

I vote yes, for the cool factor 8) I loved the sound of our indoor model A's winding up for fire drills in elementary school, so I imagine how cool it would be with a real air raid siren! Seriously, as far as coverage goes, I believe that a siren should be in close proximity to a school, if not on i...

If you can get a good recording of multiple sirens, I'd like to hear it. My second vote would be for the 3/2T22.
