Re: Mini/3d Printed sirens

A few things I noticed on your drawing of the T-135. The rotator gear reducer connects to the main stationary gear on the right side of the main gear, not the rear. The projector horns also do not come from the sides like on the T-128 they bolt to the front like the RM-130 / PN-20. The stator castin...

Re: My bushbeer siren company

Hi, So I have made a bunch of sirens and I am going to tell you about them. So there are 5 models currently in production. 2 of them already installed. So the first one is called BushBeer 100. Making 100 decibels. Very common. And BushBeer 75 for industrial purposes. There will be 3 other models. T...

Re: outdoor warning siren installers

Hmm, do you have a CDL? Are you over 21?? Do you have any training as a commercial electrician? Can you separate your siren hobby from your job? If you can't honestly answer YES to EVERY one of these questions, you have work to do. Once you CAN answer YES to ALL these questions, you might have a sh...

Re: Everything I know about the Alertronic Controllers

Yes, it is in the compulert board, I forgot that is separate from the “main brain”. And yes that is what I meant by the ‘hard start’. As I said before, the city use to growl/single whoop test them randomly. Are growl tests done remotely or at the location? There isn’t a growl function on the Alertr...

Re: The Siren Transform Thread

This thread is for sirens that have been made out of something else eg. A blender or a heat machine. Post here if you like idk. Sweet they removed my karma buttons so now I can start to lay down the law. If this is indeed your 2nd account I suggest just viewing forms until you learn some post disci...

Re: Odd Thunderbolt blower

This thread is beyond ancient, but I thought I would dig it up since I heard on the radio today that this siren is being replaced very soon. There used to be tons of Thunderbolts around here and this is one of the last ones left. I have dug through the city's Website so others do not have to. I hav...

Re: Where was this located?

That siren was originally in service in Grantsburg, WI on their old firehouse. It was mounted on a tower with a Federal Electric Type B underneath it. They built a new firehouse in 2015ish and they replaced it with a 508-128. The Type B and Mobil Directo were listed on the Surplus Auction sometime a...

Re: Everything I know about the Alertronic Controllers

If you look on siren dudes picture of the control box for Sarnia’s Alertronics, zoom in on the tone generator, and flip it upside down… there is a tag that reads “REV J 4/15/87”, and however these particular ( 12) sirens were configured with a hard windup, and a long wind down. Not sure if that was...
