Excellent detailed photos! How interesting seeing those round stator ports. Would love to hear the difference, and see waveform differences, between round ports and straight ports. If that were my siren, I'd file those ports straight and same size as the rotor chambers. Can anyonexplain the meaning ...

In Panama, the railroad crossing signals did not operate because someone had taken the CU wires. If railroad track rail is ever worth anything, I could foresee sections of track rail missing. I rode on the front of an engine and could see many rails were loose. Engineer had me flag grade crossings. ...

What clutch?
Why a clutch? So strong wind torque does not damage the horn?

Interesting.
Thanks for your nice photo.
Can we view looking down at 45 degrees and up at 45 degrees?

Does that rotor also pull air up from below, cooling the motor?

Can you just get close brushes and file them down to fit the brush channels?

Scared me.
At first I thought it was suspended only by the yellow strap.

Nice job of holding the pole with support of the siren.

Morons.

I saw a photo of an SD-10 with a bullet hole in its cowling.
I recall that if one lined up the holes, it would indicate the house from which the shot was fired.

Re: Specs on Federal 2T22 and SiraTone 1212

I just wondered, does anyone know basic specs (Ht., wt., tone pitches, etc.) for these two Federals? 2t22 10 hp. three-phase is 208-240/480 Volts Cones total 110 lbs. Lifting the body, intake tubes detached, felt like 300 lbs. Pitches at 3,450 rpm: 10 port stator = 575Hz = D5 pitch 12 port stator =...

Why do they not mount it on the water tower?

Would it not have much greater reach than 40 feet off the ground?

From what I understand, the T-128 can hold a charge for 21 days after losing power and still give a 15 minute siren cycle. I would imagine that this would be similar with the 2001-130 since it has about the same power requirements. Thanks. After a warning, I wonder how much power remains and how qu...
