You are correct. I would suggest Nashville start using the wail tone. The city of Tullahoma repeats sounding the sirens every 3 or 4 minutes until the tornado threat for that particular storm is over.
I am really not sure. The WPS series could not handel it and both the WPS 4000 and 2900 series are now at 550hz. The Vortex and the other tone only sirens are still at 450hz. The older model Whelen Vortex sirens we have in Tullahoma sound the same as in this video. The older models sounded at 465Hz ...
