There are two Whelens in Sedgwick County, KS that I know of; one is by High Point Airport just east of Valley Center, and one is in Bentley next to the elementary school. Both are 4004s as far as I'm aware.

A few days ago I saw a brand new Q2B siren mounted on the bumper of a fire truck which was pulled out for repairs. The rotor was easily eight inches in diameter, bigger than my head! Didn't think they were quite that big, but then they do have a 2hp motor turning them.

You should be able to do it; the rotor and the bearings are the same dimensions and they should drop right in.
