Got Busted Today

I took the bus over to Chino's California Institution for Men State Prison this morning to videotape their noon siren test (They test every 1st Friday of the month at 12 noon) I was headed to a Do it Best Hardware nearby anyway so I decided to make it one trip. After picking up some stuff at the har...

We have some vehicles with new clear low profile LED lightbars in my city. I think they the Code 3 X 2100.

Being that they are clear and very short, you can hardly tell it's a cop car following you until the cop switches the lights on.

I have a video of a Decot somewhere I got off of wisconsinsirens. It has a nice whine to it.

For an electronic siren, I like the older Siratones that sound almost mechanical.

Yes, they are the white things on top of the poles. You can try zooming in or clicking on the compass for alternate views. Remember the cylinders are actually horns arranged in a circle. From a previous thread on the old board, I heard they are very efficient for their design, they are probably 120d...

I really like those white sirens, though, they look cool. They are probably custom-made, as I haven't seen them before. But they look hella loud to me... but yeah, its a nuclear plant, and I haven't seen any that are not around I-5, so they are probably pretty loud. But it suprises me that they are...

I'm very used to hearing Code 3 on a Spectra Alert (We have those at my old highschool but they are branded FCI)

I know you can also have them do continous and the classic "smoke alarm" 4/5s sound

We have some of these in my city but not on all the lights. They are mainly in the more busy areas such as near shopping centers but there are two intersections near my house that are equipped. There is also a gated community north of me that also has these connected to their gates for emergency acc...

I've seen two sirens for the San Onofre Nuclear Generator Station along the I-5 as well as well as another one located in the Dana Pt marina. The sirens are some custom made blower fed omnidirectional sirens that look somewhat like a Thunderbolt with 8 horns all the way around. I think they test onc...
