You're worrying me Robert. Sounds like something's going to get hot! I don't know though. I've ran 12 Volt sirens on 6 Volts no problem. A bit smaller in scale! :)

I've used it on metal traffic lights. Held up fine so far but they've been out of the elements.

Cool, that actually worked. I guess the vibrations from the bucket add to the db output. Weird!

What if you pulsed the power relay to the siren's motor. I don't know why you'd want to but, pulse the relay and second on and a half of or something. That would sound a bit odd but would slow the wind up. I think we all deserve a good reason as to why you think she starts to quickly and what slowin...

The PA 300 had a cool new sound and was loud! I liked the old ones with the long drawn out windup and quick wind-down. Nice "backwords" yelp too!

[/quote] That won't work at all because there would be no sound being made to begin with. You would just be quieting the siren, not gaining anything. Theres no easy or sensible solution to this. The 2t22 is omni-directional. If it warns an area with nobody there, then no harm is done. What matters i...

Didn't sound anydifferent with the clutch tight. If it's a clutch siren and you don't have the clutch tightened down full, it just slipps and won't spin up.
