I got lost on this topic at first.... Who is seeing SD70m's?? Those are E8's EMD's, I think they are 1,200 HP each... Nice photo's.. That could be the "City of New Orleans" train in the 1950's.. Famous train!

it started in 1940 the FEDELCODE # 2, 3, 5 and 7 1/2 verticle sirens or TYPE/ MACH as what was on the spec plate. I have a MACH 3, 3 HP. it's like from 1941... There was never a "model" 3 or 7 siren made. When Federal started using "Model" as a description only the model 2 and 5 ...

Both video's were dumb.. again! That 3 minute straight siren cycle is so annoying.. If they did rounds , rises and falls like the sirens I have always heard i think i'd like them more out your way ... HERE listen to this.. This is how sirens should sound!!!! http://www.longislandfirealarm.com/CarleP...

A steady long cycle like whats heard here would drive me to want to shoot the thing.. shut her down man! seriou...

I still dont understand why the tornado sirens cycle is like 3 minutes straight at full RPM..gets a little annoying.. They should change it to have some rises and falls in there to make it more exciting. A little air raid sounding instead.
