Oh that's a nice siren.. is it a 5 or 7 HP? It's the older style Federal Enterprises 1950 to 55 style. It should have an access door on the housing.

Yea that one siren is mounted badley.. it's too low to the ground and over-shadowed by a hill.. Most of it's sound is being thrown right into the ground.

It looks like the rotor on tha type 5 is not fully positioned on the keyway..Did he have the rotor off ? Either that or there is something wrong with the rotor like a miss matched sized.. other wise the housing looks to be in good shape.

There's nothing wrong with a model 3 5 7 SD10. I'd prefer them over any of those other sirens out there, they look and sound the best. Besides no matter what type of siren you have, you aren't going to hear it a mile away inside your home anyway unless it's at 3am and you are up getting a late night...

I know they have a few Model 5's, a few STH10's, 2001's, Tbolt 1000t's, an Allertaor, a Thunderbeam, Penetrators, and some others. If you are talking about Franklin County you are wrong. I know someone who works in the OEM office on the south side of Columbus. I have a list of all Franklin County s...
