Re: Up Close and Personal with a Federal Model B

You should try and give that siren a new home and some TLC. It sure looks like it could use it.

Re: Got my Siratrol Panel working

You bet. I got in to tinkering with two-way radios and CB radios years ago. When I see things like this it is cool to me because it combines my interest in radio communication and sirens.

Re: Lion King Signal newest copys

Haha! Coming to a Wal*Mart near you, Lion King sirens! China is trying to be this global super power. China can't manufacture a decent product. Apparently they can't design their own either. China junk!

Re: Thunderbolt 1003A

Re: Changing a model 2 to a model 2t.

Mechanically, both are assembled the same way. The only variation would be the early Federal Electric/Enterprises Model 2. They had a sand cast motor frame and stator vs. the later die cast and also different brush holders. As long as they look mechanically identical you should be able to just swap ...

Re: Is this a good blower alternative with relief valve?

This has been discussed before, but here we go. Supercharged sirens do not require as much air pressure (P.S.I.) as much as they require air volume (C.F.M.). Thunderbolt blowers only supply 6 or 7 P.S.I. A person blowing hard exceeds that, but does not have the needed volume of air required to super...

I don't think this one rotates. NOTE: Not my video.
It was definitely designed to rotate. The whole rotator mech. is there. You can even see the rotator motor at the end of that video.

The wind noise isn't too bad. It is that annoying leaf blowing across the road. I just want to run up and smash it.

Very good recording!
