Here is an old news clip showing the first T-128 in ASC's lair. Dale Moeller says it was "made in his barn" - notice the dark gray horn shroud lips, a feature absent from production T-128s.

The Harrison, OH siren can be seen on Google maps - it looks like a typical production T-128 with the old matte gray paint. Around 2007, ASC changed to a glossier type of paint/varnish which they've used ever since.

The lack of ASC stickers does not necessarily confirm a prototypical T-128 - my old town (North Fond du Lac!) had a T-128 without stickers, but it was installed in 2006. The control boxes ASC used also changed throughout the years.

Nice clip. I was told by Dale I installed the first one, but I am only going on what Dale told me. The Three Mile Island plant was sold by me in 1978 when Werden Electric as a dealer for Federal went to TMI to talk how great the T-Bolt was in which I did, however I told them that I had just met a gentleman named Jim Biersach and he makes a better self contained, larger output siren and they jumped all over it. Hence it is my belief that the head of this meeting was bringing me up there to confirm how great Federal was and as soon as I mentioned ACA I was escorted forcibly from TMI and taken outside of the gates. ACA sold 78 sirens and Werden got a huge commission of $0000000.

We then maintained the sirens for Zimmer Nuclear plant in Cincinnati and when Zimmer was decommissioned American Electric Power came from Columbus to buy the sirens for $1.00 each and I met Stan Jursic and told him to run fast as he can from the first experimental EOWS 1212, which he did and he then bought 100 or so ACA sirens and Werden got the samr huge commission from this $000,000.

In 2010 Werden sold 157 sirens to Hamilton County, and got the same huge commission of $000000 and even got the installation taken from me by ANS which is owned by ASC.

ASC has done this to every dealer in the country. Comserv, (twice), Fulton, Belvedere, Werden (5 times),

I like your stories. They are interesting. Any idea why For TMI, they chose the Cyclone, but then instead of the P-50, they chose P-10's/15's?

they were dual toned P-10's

im pretty sure all of them were 10 HP dual toned units.

wish that they still used them but as a lot of you know these and the Cyclones were replaced because of the Federal requirement that any nuclear power plant being required to have battery backup capabilities on their mass notification systems
