Oh I've gotten all the single phase starters and contactors (Thanks CDV777-1) for the RCM1B. I've had them for a while but never put them together with the fear of blowing it up. I have run the power through them when doing tests per the instructions included with themDrDanthrax99 wrote:Unfortunately, to run it as a unit, you're going to need an RCM1B. The three phase motor starters in your RCM1A won't do any good for the single-phase motors on your blower and rotator.
Can you take some pictures of what you mean by "machined tube that goes in the head?" The only thing I can think of would be the sleeve bearing under the collector rings in the chopper tube. I'm not certain, and I'm a sucker for pictures anyway, haha.
Also, have you decided what color you're going to paint it?
Thank you. Does anyone know where the Federal Signal logos that are on the sides of the rotator box can be found?DrDanthrax99 wrote:Ah, thank you for the pic. That's just part of the flange, it gives the chopper assembly vertical support when mounted to the blower. To couple the assemblies you'll need one. I'm sure your local metal shop should have no problem fabricating one from the dimensions of the old one.
Oh, and I'd recommend those decals regardless of what color you paint it, they look really cool!
http://www.suburbanaccents.com/ has the "FS Thunderbolt," "Circle F Lightning Thunderbolt", and Civil Defense logo decals on file.QuantumCurse wrote:Thank you. What is the best way to contact them? And what should I say?DrDanthrax99 wrote:http://www.suburbanaccents.com/ has the "FS Thunderbolt," "Circle F Lightning Thunderbolt", and Civil Defense logo decals on file.QuantumCurse wrote:Thank you.
