Adrian, MO H.O.R Super Sirex

Tue Aug 01, 2017 2:31 am

So back in early 2015, we were heading up to Adrian for a appointment. Once we got to Adrian, I happen to look at the Church located at E Main St & N Houston Ave, where I noticed a H.O.R Super Sirex located behind it. I had the feeling that it was inactive because there is a SD-10, 3T22, and a refurbished 2T22 located not far from it. Once we got home, I went to look up the location on street view. I notice that it was connected, and it still has its controls. As of April 2017, I did manage to take a picture of this H.O.R Super Sirex. https://photos.app.goo.gl/PhEULKNizTfKXSXV2 I am planning to head up to Adrian to record one of their sirens this Wednesday, and I would like to know if this siren is active or not.

Cool find. Looks like it is dual tone too. You could email the EMA for the area and ask if its active.

That's awesome, I love how it's pole mounted!

I would definitely love to hear this one in action. I have been to Adrian Missouri before and have seen it a few times as well as the other sirens in town.

The control boxes look pretty new and the paint looks fresh. I'm gonna assume it's active.

Maybe it's been refurbed in it's lifetime? It almost makes me wonder if this thing was from elsewhere or if it has always been there.

Those almost look like ASC control boxes.

It's actually Adrian, Mo., not Adrain. Right along I-49.

At the very least, someone should go get some good pictures of it. That way we can tell if it's 7/10 port dual tone or not. Were super-sirexes ever made in anything other than 9 port and 7/10 port?
