Nice picture there!

Just noticed something:
Up on that board where it says "One of Wichita's", notice that graphic off to the right?

Looks like an EOWS series :P

Just thought I should point that out.

Nice picture again there Eric!

Except for the two guys, those sure are the cutest sirens.

Sad that they were concerned with military attack when it was/is really tornadoes that pose the threat.

They've had tornado threats way before that, so that was already sort-of renowned for its significance. Air-raid discussion of that era was an emerging field with all of the crap going on then.

Wouldn't dressing in an all-white suit make a person more visible during a blackout?

Eric I gotta' tell you.

Nice find!

BUT, I still like the way you paint your T-bolts more, the paint is a bit toned down on this one for my taste. Or possibly its just the photo.

Now what to paint my STH10 when it gets here...

In Yiddish accent:
What? You should want CD Yellow?

That was not the 50s fashion.
(Or was it?)

Is that movie "Invasion USA" available on VHS?

One of the best classic invasion movies was Red Dawn, which if I remember didn't have any sirens at all. The sky was raining Russians and Cubans. Every time I hear the Russian national anthem, which has the same melody as the old Hymn of the Soviet Union, I remember the execution scene where the Soviets were playing it over a loudspeaker, and the Americans began singing patriotic songs just before being shot.

Yes, that is a nice collection of sirens, as well as a great Thunderbolt and a couple of other dudes. I noticed that the word on the sign is spelled "civil defence" rather than "defense." I wish Noah Webster had never changed the spelling of the English language.
