I can't believe the same Thunderbolt that I saw all the time as a kid, always pointing the same direction with a leaning pole, is getting re-installed across the country.
Kicking it in the siren party since '08

This is very good news for Upson county, and they've hired a very talented man for the job, i must say! No city or company should be scrapping any sirens-- Restore/REUSE before recycle.

Go to your local scrap yard and ask them to call you if anything big and yellow arrives :) Offer twice the scrap value..

It's funny, but I wish there was a way to figure out which head came from a given location.

I know where the first Norman Thunderbolt I saw is located now, but I would like to know where the fire station 4 and Shadow Lake Thunderbolts are. I saw the 36th and Indian Hills Thunderbolt almost every Sunday for years and I'm sure it will be going back up soon.

I think Ian and I figured out which units went where, and know where each one went specifically. I think we made a map let me look and see.

The Indian Hills head was the one that was pretty much toast wasn't it? I think thats the one Ian said must have been faced the same way for a longtime before it was brought down and put in the boneyard.

Jeb, how do you keep all those pesky flies away during paint drying?

Got it out of the shop and loaded on the trailer to be hauled to a Fire/public safety event at The Rock Ranch Saturday. Going to put the decals on it this afternoon and the screen in the horn.
