Their Allertor was disconnected and removed several years ago. I miss that siren terribly, as do some other residents of that area. They were supposed to get a new siren after renovations but their money became low. Nobody knows what happened to the siren (which had been in very poor condition for the past 4-5 years after loosing its horn in an ice storm) after the renovations, but I hope they can locate it and save it, maybe even put it back into service for various purposes. There is another Allertor in nearby Philomont that is still used for fire calls, but I want Middleburg to either bring theirs back or get a new siren. Maybe they can use it for tornado warnings instead of fire calls. Does this sound like a good idea for a sign to put outside there?
BRING BACK THE SIREN! THE TOWN MISSES IT!
If not, what can I put on the sign? Please help me, and maybe it will be a victory for me.
