What are the Thunderbolt siren's set pins for?

Mon Dec 15, 2014 6:30 pm

Hello. I'm British, so I don't know much about American sirens, but, I saw a video of a 4\5 port chopper\stator/motor assembly with missing set pins, and it sounded horrible! So, what magical thing do these things do?
Thanks in advance for the advice!

These Set Pins make sure the motor is in alignment. Without the pins, the motor is not aligned properly and thus doesn't run correctly.
