Simla, CO Sick Thunderbolt 1000A (fixed)

That's one sick t'bolt. It's set off several times on 6/4/15 by members of Simla VFD, led by Chief John Hillmann to warn the approx 650 people of Simla of the threat of multiple tornadoes nearby that evening...

Still close enough to a Fed Sig 550AT to drive out on test day: First Friday in May - 7PM!

Sounds more like a single phase STH-10?

It's a single tone 1000. It seems to do fine up until the last few seconds or so in the video, though in some ways it doesn't surprise me since it's an older unit and who knows when the last time was that it got any kind of attention (if ever).

Around 0:44. It starts off sounding like a 2001 and sounding like a T128 by the end of its cycle.

Ouch. Something in my mind leads me to think it started to overheat. Who knows how long it was activated?

In my talks to Simla VFD Chief John Hillmann several years ago, They ran push-button alert one or 2 times whenever a warning came across their radios, at the siren site.
