To any St. Louis area siren enthusiasts, I just found out yesterday that the City of St. Charles sold one of their ASC T-128's to the City of Winfield. There's a video on YouTube of the siren being tested in Winfield, saying that the rotator was broken but that it was later repaired after the video was taken. Does anyone know from which location the T-128 in St. Charles was replaced? Was it replaced because of the rotator issues? And was it replaced with another T-128? I know they have several T-121's as well, so hopefully it was replaced by another T-128.
BTW, St. Charles' T-128's were installed in 2001. But wouldn't it be cheaper to repair the rotator instead of replacing the siren?
