CNC Machining Recommendations

Sun Apr 30, 2023 3:00 am

Does anybody know of a good metal machining service. I'm trying to have a prototype made, for 3 parts specifically a mini thunderbolt siren. I attached the 3 pictures I need made if I sent it in. And, how much would it cost?

Your best bet will be to look around and ask locally for a "job shop" machinist. Just use Google and call around the local machine shops to ask if they do one-off projects. Shops will vary in capability, turnaround, and pricing.

While I'm quite the novice regarding machine work (I can. Turn and mill very basic things) that chopper will be the hardest to machine with even a 5 axis. That's why choppers are typically investment casted on the real thing
